Description

From November 12th to 14th in Ohrid, the training course for the Guide-line Protected Areas in the ambit of the Balkans 2 Project was concluded in Macedonia.
The fourth module was dedicated to the completion of the final project work which was realized through the close and active collaboration between participants and Italian experts.
Numerous representatives from the Macedonian Ministry for the Environment, the directors of the three National Parks, other public administration and NGOs committed to protection and management of Protected areas, took part in the training activities.

The project work has led to the elaboration of two final products: the first draft of the Management Plan of the website Emerald “Ezerani” along the Northern coast of the Prespa Lake as well as the compilation of the form foreseen by the European Union for participating in the LIFE+ Proramme in the ambit of a concept on the protection of large predators in Macedonia.
The thematic expert providing assistance to Formez for the training modules in Macedonia is Mr. Alessandro Bardi (Temi srl - Rome) with the support of his collaborators Ms Fabiana Panchetti and Mr Matteo Magaudda.
